Netflix released another sickly, stupid but sensational romantic comedy recently ‘A Family Affair’. Nicole Kidman and Zac Efron get it on – it’s one of those thing you didn’t realise you needed in your life until it happens.
Anyway, I’m a sucker for a love story and this one is a reach, but you gotta go with it sometimes.
So Kathy Bates’ character delivers this beautiful line during a sad moment in the film when Nicole Kidman’s character is talking about her dead husband and her new man (Efron)… – “The end is none of your business”.

I’ve made a habit in the past couple of years to write down anything that tweaks my ear. I had this line sitting in my inbox for weeks and had forgotten where it came from. A quick Google and I managed to find the script.
The line can take many meanings, but what I gather from it is to approach everything with unwavering passion, focusing on the progress, experiences, and challenges. Don’t forget to savour the moment, because the end is the only certainty.
We cannot control the conclusion to most things in life, whether that be in love, business, or life itself. Don’t reject love out of fear of it ending. Don’t refrain from pursuing your dreams due to the fear of failure. Don’t forget to live your life, as you have no idea when it will end.
We’re all in the business of living, not ending.
